Garlic Shrimp Linguine
1 pound linguine
1 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoon white wine
2 teaspoon parmesan cheese
3 gloves of garlic
1 teaspoon chopped parsley
salt and pepper to taste
1 pound medium shrimp peeled
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil . Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, then drain.
- In a medium sauce pan melt butter over medium low heat, add wine, cheese and garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. Simmer over low heat 3 to 5 minutes stirring frequently.
- Increase heat to medium high , add the shrimp to skillet. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes or until the shrimp turns pink.
- Divide pasta into portions and spoon sauce on top; garnish with parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
When I decided to make this dish I didn't have any linguine in the house all I had was rigatoni's so I used that. After making the sauce I could tell it would be very little on each portion so I tripled the sauce portion and it was perfect. Especially with using a heavier type of pasta.
